Culture Day
in Weyburn is Friday Sept. 30.  Demonstrations, displays and hands-on art workshops will be offered throughout the day at the Weyburn Legion hall.  No charge.  Sponsored by SaskCulture via Signal Hill Arts Centre and Weyburn Arts Council.

“An Evening at the Invisible Library –
Poetry & Comic Art”
7:00 pm at the Allie Griffin Art Gallery

You might not think that poets and comic artists share a lot in common, but you could be wrong!  As part of SaskCulture’s Artist Animateur program, poet Paul Wilson and comic artist Jonah McFadzean have collaborated in poems from “The Invisible Library”.  The term Invisible Library refers to titles of books that exist only within books.  Paul Wilson has written an entire manuscript of poems about books that exist only in Wilson’s imagination.  McFadzean has adapted several of the poems into captivating comic art.  The evening will feature a “show” (poster size reproductions) of the poetry comics and a reading from “The Invisible Library”.
